Stahl Expands Brazil Packaging Coatings with Weilburger Graphics Portfolio

Stahl, a global provider of specialty coatings for flexible materials, has agreed to acquire Weilburger Coatings’ graphics coatings business in Brazil.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the next few weeks, subject to regulatory approvals.

This step marks the next milestone in Stahl’s Packaging Coatings regional growth strategy, following earlier expansions in Germany and Turkey, and further strengthens Stahl’s position in the global packaging coatings market.

Packaging Coatings is a strategic growth area for Stahl. With the addition of the Weilburger Graphics Brazil business, Stahl expands its offering with a complementary portfolio to meet evolving market requirements.

Throughout 2026, Stahl will progressively insource the product portfolio at its own site in Brazil.

To support this transition, Stahl has invested in expanding its manufacturing capabilities, enabling the manufacturing of existing Stahl and Weilburger Graphics technologies.

Brazil and the wider Latin American region represent attractive growth markets, particularly in segments such as food, beverage, and consumer packaging. By building on the established customer base and proven technologies, Stahl is positioned to accelerate its growth in the region.
