Sherwin-Williams recently purchased Datacolor ColorReader Pro for their Color Express™ Powder Program to improve their customers’ powder finishing productivity. Color Express was designed to reduce the time it takes for powder finishers to match, receive and apply powder. Datacolor worked with Sherwin-Williams to customize their ColorReaders with pre-loaded, Sherwin-Williams brand in-stock powder product matches. According to the company, by implementing this technology, paired with local in-stock inventory, coaters can reduce match and order times significantly – beginning a customer’s job request in days instead of weeks. Currently, Sherwin-Williams stocks popular powder products such as RAL and Powdura and plans on including additional in-stock products over time.
