The UK’s largest independent paint manufacturer, HMG Paints, is further expanding its sales force in two growing business areas.
After recent success on the specification and deliverance of decorative coatings on such projects as Prodrive’s Banbury Headquarters, the £48 million restoration of Manchester Central Library and cinemas around the UK, HMG Paints have now appointed a new decorative business area manager, Steve Pellatt.
Steve Pellatt has previously been a Decorative business area manager at Jotun paints where he was responsible for sales and specification. His decorative coatings experience stretches back even further with a 22 year service at Akzo Nobel as their National specification manager for the Sikkens brand. Steve has worked in an array of sectors including working with local authorities, social housing trusts and architects and will be tasked with growing market share and brand awareness for the company’s decorative coatings portfolio. "I look forward to my time at HMG Paints to develop the decorative offer, and intend to ensure the brand has a firm footing in the market" said Steve.
HMG’s new Industrial sales representative David Leverton will be focusing on business development in Yorkshire and the North East. HMG have long supplied the industrial coatings market place, and distribute to customers across the globe. With over two decades of technical experience in the automotive coatings sector David hopes to bring his knowledge from working at two of HMG’s long standing distributors Movac and Carlac in to further growing brand awareness for HMG.
“We are delighted to welcome David and Steve to the developing sales team at HMG. With offerings of newly developed decorative colour collections, we are looking forward to pairing this with Steve’s extensive specification knowledge.” said Danny Cleary, HMG’s Sales Director “We have worked closely with David for a number of years as he has collected experience from work with two of our distributors. We know that David will fit in well at HMG with the company’s culture and ethos”.
HMG boast a varied portfolio of high quality products for a variety of industries, an extensive color library, and popular application training facilities. The two new additions will help the company reinforce their position as the UK’s largest independent coatings manufacturer.
