Maroon Group initiated a new Tow Motor training program as a commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing safety in the workplace. Maroon Group’s Warehouse Dock Lead, Ryan Andrews, was trained and certified as an OSHA lift truck trainer for Maroon Group's Avon and Elyria, Ohio facilities.
“Through an extensive 3rd party train the trainer program, Ryan excelled and completed the course with flying colors,” said Dave Higgins, Maroon Group’s director of Logistics, Environmental, Safety, and Security. “Ryan will be able to train all new employees, as well as complete the required retraining of lift truck drivers every three years. Ryan exemplifies our culture of “thinking team” and “bring it every day,” where Maroon employees support each other and ensure that everyone is safe, compliant, and properly trained.”
“I am very excited for this opportunity for Ryan,” added Melissa McLemore, Maroon Group’s Warehouse supervisor & Logistics coordinator, said. “He is the perfect person for Tow Motor training. Ryan takes safety on the dock very seriously and abides by all rules and regulations.”
