Vincentz Network and NürnbergMesse, the European Coatings Show 2021 organizers, announced that the upcoming show scheduled for September has been cancelled. Th statement read as follows:
“In many discussions with exhibitors and industry representatives over the past few weeks, we have had to conclude that the prospects of success for holding European Coatings Show 2021 are not sufficiently assured. Although the political foundations have been laid for holding trade fairs and the pandemic situation in Europe continues to stabilize, we must nevertheless observe that the resumption of international travel and an increase in the willingness to travel are not yet taking place at the anticipated and necessary pace. However, this is indispensable for a leading exhibition with an international character and the size of ECS.
“Therefore, Vincentz Network and NürnbergMesse have decided, with heavy hearts, to cancel the ECS 2021 exhibition. The congress will be held purely digitally from 13-14 September 2021. The next ECS in Nuremberg will then take place again as scheduled from 28-30 March 2023.”
