Sika Corporation announced its participation as an exhibitor at the 2024 IBEX Conference and Exhibition, taking place Oct. 1–3 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL.
Sika is committed to providing the marine industry with best-in-class products for boatbuilding and repair. Sika’s marine catalogue includes high-performance sealants, adhesives, fillers, fairing compounds, tooling and resin systems, as well as synthetic teak decking solutions. From racing teams to fishing skippers, to commercial and leisure boatbuilders of all sizes, many make Sika their first choice for marine manufacturing and repair solutions
Sika’s booth space will feature the debut of Sikaflex-591, their latest innovation for above and below waterline sealing applications. Sikaflex-591 is a versatile, mold-resistant hybrid sealant based on Sika’s Silane Terminated Polymer (STP) technology.
Boasting excellent UV stability and weathering resistance, Sikaflex®-591 is well-suited for a variety of exterior and interior sealing applications and is also free of isocyanate, solvents, PVC, phthalates, and tin catalysts
Alongside Sikaflex-591, Sika will showcase their new DIY packaging for the industry-standard Sikaflex line of marine-grade polyurethane adhesives and sealants, as well as their SikaBiresin fillers and fairing compounds
Sika tooling and resins systems on display will include the SikaBiresin SC range of extrudable modeling pastes, as well as the SikaBiresin CR76 epoxy lamination system
“Sika is proud to again be exhibiting at this year’s IBEX event,” said Greg Moran, VP marketing, Sika Industry. “Sika has a passion and commitment to providing the Marine industry with leading solutions, and we’ve made a concerted effort over the past several years to expand and improve our product offering to the Marine market.
“You can see it in our new innovations, such as the Sikaflex-591, as well as new retail packaging for several of our products, enabling DIY boat owners to have easy access to the same products as professional boatbuilders,” added Moran.
