IMCD to Showcase Global Innovation Expertise and Market Trends at Saudi Arabia Coatings Show 2025

IMCD Group, a global leading partner for the distribution and formulation of specialty chemicals and ingredients, is set to showcase its technical expertise and market trends at the Saudi Arabia Coatings Show (SACS) 2025, taking place from May 13-15 2023 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

IMCD Coatings & Construction will be present at Booth 3B20, offering live demos, expert talks and a first look at how IMCD is driving innovation in the industry.

New laboratory capabilities in the Middle East

In March 2025, IMCD expanded its presence in the Middle East, opening a new office and a dedicated Coatings & Construction laboratory in Dubai. The facility offers advanced formulation support and tailored solutions for regional customers. From raw material selection to product development, the laboratory is designed to enable closer collaboration with customers, tackle complex formulation challenges, and stay ahead of market trends across the coatings and construction sectors.

As part of its commitment to staying ahead of industry trends, IMCD released the third edition of the Trends Commentary: “Building Tomorrow”, built on insights gathered through the IMCD Coatings & Construction Global Customer Trends Survey 2025-2026. Collecting survey responses from more than 150 customers across the Middle East and Africa, the findings highlight the most pressing needs shaping customer decisions. For the Middle East, the survey reveals major megatrends:

• Efficiency.

In particular, IMCD sees customers placing strong importance in reducing VOC emissions indoors and outdoors, as well as reducing waste and formulating products that are easy to apply and to use. For the first time in Saudi Arabia, IMCD will host Expert4Experts talks at the booth covering formulations developed in its laboratories to meet local market needs. In these short talks led by IMCD technical experts, we share formulations using raw materials from our suppliers to meet evolving industry trends in decorative paints, industrial coatings, and construction chemicals. Topics include:

• Formulating water-based 2K epoxy for metal applications
