Miltec has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer in the Central US Region. The territory includes the states of ID, UT, MT, WY, CO, NM, ND, SD, NE, KS, MO, OK, TX, AR, LA. We prefer a candidate who lives within the south-central region (working remotely from Dallas/Fort Worth or Denver, Colorado) with easy access to a major airport. *The sales territory could be modified based on the location of the candidate.
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for account management, generating sales with existing customers as well as developing opportunities with new customers within the assigned region. Candidates must possess industrial/capital equipment sales experience, along with consultative sales skills. Must possess a "customer first" mentality. Must possess an Engineering degree.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- Growing the territory via existing and new accounts.
- Building and strengthening customer relationships with key decision makers.
- Prospecting, scheduling appointments and visiting new and existing customers to review product needs and identify potential solutions for new sales growth.
- Managing all leads and maintaining the CRM software with all relevant and up-to-date information.
- Develop and execute the territory sales plan.
- Attending trade shows.
- Preparing reports for marketing and sales.
- Collaborate and communicate with Engineers, Service, Sales, and other Miltec stakeholders to ensure excellent customer experience/satisfaction and outcomes.
- Always maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong capital/industrial equipment sales skills to maintain existing accounts and grow profitable new revenue.
- Proven experience in solutions-based selling techniques and strategies.
- ROI analysis capabilities and financial acumen.
- Ability to educate customers and solve complex technical issues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrated sales performance record.
- Self-starter with independent sales management skills.
- Prospecting capabilities to build an ongoing pipeline of new customers.
- Possess the ability to easily establish rapport and trust with customers.
- 5 years of Technical Sales /Industrial Equipment Sales experience.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Engineering degree required (unless demonstrated experience in UV industry)
- Able to travel extensively within assigned territory.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
