In an effort to increase sustainability, Croda is launching a new 100% bio-based ethylene oxide plant in New Castle, DE. The company notes that two-thirds of its raw materials are derived from natural resources.
 
The ECO product range of non-ionic surfactants are expected to be introduced in 2018. These materials will also be manufactured using renewable energy, from non-fossil fuel-based landfill gas and solar energy, the company reported.
