Dunn-Edwards Paints is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of premium architectural, industrial and high performance paints and paint supplies in the U.S. It operates more than 130 company stores in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas, and more than 80 authorized dealers throughout the West. Dunn-Edwards is dedicated to preserving and protecting the environment, and produces its coatings in a LEED Gold-certified manufacturing plant. Based in Southern California, the 92-year old company has approximately 1,700 employees. Dunn-Edwards is a wholly owned subsidiary of Osaka, Japan-based Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. The company recently launched Aristoshield, a line of ultra-premium, water-based urethane alkyd paint that offers the look and durability of an oil-based enamel. These new interior/exterior paints are ideal for use on high-end residential, commercial and industrial projects, where superior performance and durability are required.

Dunn-Edwards Paints has introduced New and Improved Duraflo Premium (50) Semi-gloss and (60) Gloss paints lines. These are interior enamels formulated with advanced waterborne alkyd technology, ideal for use on interior walls, trim, moulding, cabinets, doors, kitchens, baths and high traffic areas. New and Improved Duraflo 50 and 60 Premium lines develop hard, durable finishes that have excellent adhesion, hide, block resistance and reduced yellowing.

The product is low odor, has excellent application properties, and is available in tint bases, which allow the product to be mixed into light, medium, and dark colors.

The plant increased Dunn-Edwards’ capacity and ability to produce paint for third parties. In May 2012, Dunn-Edwards improved its Suprema premium interior, ultra-low VOC, acrylic latex paint line.
