Rust-Oleum recently launched three new water repellant products for use on clothing, auto interiors and outdoor fabric. During the winter months water, mud, slush and snow can severely damage a pair of shoes. Rust-Oleum recently launched a product that provides a solution to this messy problem. Instead of avoiding puddles, you can walk right through them using Rust-Oleum NeverWet Boot and Shoe water repelling treatment. This supherhydrophobic treatment protects materials from the harshest of weather conditions without altering their appearance, the company stated. NeverWet Boot and Shoe water repelling fabric treatment is applied in step and dries to a clear finish that will not change the look or feel of the item. The treatment forms a protective barrier around the individual fibers on the surface and will protect fabrics such as suede, polyester, polyester/cotton blends, canvas and leather from water damage.\ “Everyone has been there. You step in a puddle, and your shoe is completely soaked,” said Sean Lavery, a brand manager for Rust-Oleum. “Now with NeverWet Boot and Shoe this is no longer an issue. This treatment will keep your shoes clean and dry in any weather condition.” Rust-Oleum NeverWet Auto Interior Fabric water repelling treatment allows do-it-yourselfers to protect their auto upholstery, carpets and floor mats by preventing water, mud, slush and stains from ruining the fabric. NeverWet Auto Interior contains protects the surface with a superhydrophobic treatment that dramatically repels water, mud, ice and other liquids. It will repel water-based liquids on a variety of auto interiors including leather, cloth, and synthetic and natural fibers. This water-based technology is the ideal solution for protecting seats, floor mats, auto upholstery, trunks, children’s car seats and more. NeverWet Outdoor Fabric protects and preserves outdoor clothing, shoes and furniture against moisture. In one simple step, do-it-yourselfers can keep outdoor items dry, clean and protected. NeverWet Outdoor Fabric will repel water from a variety of textiles including polyester, poly/cotton blends, canvas, leather and suede. This solvent-based technology is completely breathable and provides a crystal clear finish that will not change the feel or appearance of treated items. It is the ideal solution for protecting jackets, gloves, shoes, boots, patio furniture cushions, camping gear, backpacks, umbrellas and more against water-damage. NeverWet products are applied in one single step using a trigger spray. It is available in a crystal clear finish that has no tacky feel and will not change the appearance of the surface. Allow the treated item to dry for 24 hours before exposing the surface to water-based liquids. For more information about the NeverWet product line go to www.rustoleum.com/NeverWet.
