The COVID-19 pandemic has essentially canceled the entire in-person trade show season for 2020. To adapt and survive during these challenging times several tradeshows have opted to run completely online.
Although CHINACOAT is still being held, this year’s show will certainly look different from years past. The show’s organizers have decided to offer a virtual option to accommodate those that will be unable to attend the event in-person.
CHINACOAT Virtual Edition
CHINACOAT show organizers Sinostar announced the launch of its new CHINACOAT and SFCHINA Virtual Edition.
This year attendees are offered an alternative route to the industry platform alongside and beyond the three-day Exhibition on the ground.
This will allow people who may not be able to make it to the in-person show to engage with the industry and keep updated with the latest trends, even though travel restrictions may prevent them from attending the show in Guangzhou this December.
The Virtual Edition consists of two parts: “GZ Show” hosting exhibitors who are exhibiting at the Guangzhou Ground Show and “Virtual Show” those who are unable to exhibit in the Ground Show this year.
The Edition features several 3D interactive functions, such as Exhibitor’s Live Streaming Sessions, Live Chats and well-organized Product Displays, together with a Virtual Zone in the Exhibition Hall at the Guangzhou Ground Show, ensuring you are still able to get engaged with those who are present there.
It also offers a Business Matching function, where you can locate targeted exhibitors to establish initial contact and to develop further engagement.
The Edition will be available for 60 days after the closing of the Ground Show allowing you to have sufficient time to complete your procurement and networking.
The New Virtual Edition will go live at the end of November.
As in the past, we will be covering the show and providing our readers with the latest news from the show floor.
As we continue to adapt to the new realities of living in a post-COVID-19 world, it looks like this new hybrid in-person/virtual option will become much more common.
