Coatings World sat down with Nigel Atkinson, Vice President – Paints & Coatings at Arxada, to learn about the company’s initiatives, innovations, and what they will be displaying at Booth #1538 at ACS 2024. 1. What will Arxada be exhibiting at the American Coatings Show 2024? We are leveraging our decades of experience in paints & coatings formulation and application, vast knowledge resources in microbiology, and expertise in regulatory affairs to deliver unique offerings to the market. So make sure to visit us at Booth # 1538. Our product offering to the paints & coatings industry will be a main focus, as our portfolio of preservatives and additives is one of the broadest available. We will showcase our advanced wet-state preservatives based on a wide array of active chemistries and formulated products to give customers unparalleled flexibility. Customers will recognize some of the leading brand names in wet-state protection, including Proxel® and Mergal®. We will also be showcasing our dry-film preservatives under the Polyphase®, Troysan®, and Omadine® brands, to name only a few. Based on a diversity of active chemistries including IPBC, Arxada’s dry-film products promote industry leading coatings and asset protection backed by decades of expertise and proven history. We will also be featuring our advanced TIME controlled release dry-film preservatives at the show, a suite of latest generation encapsulated antifungal and antialgal products engineered to provide balanced protection over time, reduce leaching into the environment, and maximize safety, handling, and environmental advantages. An important differentiator in Arxada’s portfolio is our performance additives, something unique amongst preservatives suppliers. Our additives for liquid coatings include Troysol® substrate wetting and flow & leveling additives, Troykyd® defoamers, Troysperse® dispersants, Troythix® rheology modifiers, and Effexel® open time additives, as well as Troymax® driers and Troycat® catalysts. These products have a long history of success and offer excellent control of application and surface properties.
