MPP-615 waxes are finely micronized Polyethylenes produced from a unique Polyethylene polymer. Additions of 1-3% (by weight) will impart excellent rub and mar resistance and surface slip to printing inks, paints and coatings. Due to the extra fine particle size of MPP-615 waxes, prior pre-compounding or grinding is not necessary. Incorporation into most coatings can be readily achieved with usual high speed mixing equipment.
MPP-615 is recommended for use in the following: Flexo, Gravure, IR, UV, heat-set web offset and quick set printing inks; coil coatings, powder coatings and high gloss overprint varnishes. MPP-615 has shown to provide excellent anti-blocking properties when added to flexographic and gravure inks, as well as, water or solvent based furniture coatings.
