NUREMBERG, GERMANY – March 19, 2019 — Sun Chemical has increased production capacity for its high performance Perrindo® Perylene product line at its Bushy Park facility in South Carolina.
The expansion comes in response to the market’s popularity of the perylene maroon color space and will help to better serve Sun Chemical’s customers around the globe. It covers Pigment Violet 29, Maroon 179, Red 224, Red 123 and Red 190.
Sun Chemical’s Perrindo® product line, known for its excellent transparency, is used by formulators to produce deep, rich, chromatic coatings. Expansion plans continue into 2019/20 for the product line’s new Perrindo® Ultra Fine pigments which are pre-dispersed in water to deliver a very high level of transparency that is vital to produce modern, highly chromatic effect finishes.
“Sun Chemical has seen an increased demand for of our Perrindo product line, particularly in the automotive space,” said Michael Venturini, Marketing Director, Coatings, Sun Chemical Performance Pigments. “We are committed to providing our customers with more innovative solutions and the expansion at Bushy Park will allow us to add new product codes to further drive paint innovation.”
