Sustainability and performance are the focus of Ascend Performance Materials’ booth at American Coatings Show. The company is showcasing a number of unique and sustainable products for paints and coatings, including:

• Hextranol E, an ultralow-VOC, low-odor and biodegradable coalescing aid that produces superior film integrity at low loading levels, saving money without sacrificing performance. Hextranol E works with a variety of workhorse resins and on substrates with varying levels of porosity.
• Hexatran, a trifunctional amine that works well as a crosslinker and improves cure time and chemical resistance in epoxies and can produce a non-yellowing isocyanate with superior chemical and weather resistance.
• FlexaTrac-DME Specialties, a range of high-purity, low-VOC and biodegradable dibasic ester solvents and carriers available in custom blends for specific functionality.
• FlexaTram-DAM-950, a high-purity 1,2-diaminocyclohexane used as a crosslinker. Ascend is one of only two producers of high-purity DACH.
