Benjamin Moore paints are now available at more than 3,500 participating Ace Hardware stores nationwide, in addition to Benjamin Moore’s existing network of 5,000+ locally owned and operated independent retailers.
Ace Hardware named Benjamin Moore its preferred paint supplier and began offering an assortment of Benjamin Moore paints to participating Ace stores in the U.S. this spring.
“Since 2005, Benjamin Moore and Ace Hardware have worked together to service the DIY customer through the hardware segment. Expanding our relationship with Ace furthers our legacy commitment to the independent retail channel, while broadening access to Benjamin Moore for paint customers,” Benjamin Moore chairman and CEO Dan Calkins said.
Ace Hardware stores will carry an assortment of premium interior and exterior Benjamin Moore paints, notably Regal Select and ben. Benjamin Moore will also assume responsibility for manufacturing Clark+Kensington and Royal, Ace Hardware’s private label paint brands.

Ace Hardware ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Home Improvement Retail Stores” in a tie in the J.D. Power 2019 U.S. Home Improvement Retailer Satisfaction Study. Since J.D. Power began surveying the home improvement industry in 2007 Ace Hardware has achieved this ranking 12 out of the last 13 years.
The 2019 J.D. Power study is based on responses from nearly 2,433 consumers who have purchased home improvement products or services over the past 12 months. Ace ranked highest among major retailers with an overall satisfaction index score of 840 on a 1000-point scale. According to surveyed consumers, Ace performs particularly well in the category of Staff and Service.This year’s score is based on overall performance in five areas: Merchandise, Price, Sales and Promotions, Staff and Service, and Store Facility.
