Helios Group is the leading manufacturer of coatings in South Eastern Europe with approximately 3,000 employees and 21 production facilities. Kansai Paint has acquired all shares of  Helios Group. Under the strategic owner Kansai, Helios will represent a strong European center of innovation, know-how and business development, and will further grow its importance in European coating industry.

With the acquisition of Helios Group, Kansai Paint accelerates its growth strategy to become one of top paint producers in the world. Helios Group is a coating manufacturer with strength in different types of coatings and mainly operates in Central, Eastern and Western Europe and CIS countries.  Both companies aim to expedite business growth by boosting sales further and creating synergies through the utilization of both groups’ technologies, know-how, products and sales networks.

Helios Group is the leading manufacturer of coatings in South Eastern Europe with approximately 3,000 employees in more than thirty companies in fourteen countries. Helios Group recently made three major investments: a car refinishing coatings center and production plant for water-based coatings, and a center for metal coatings. The production plant for water-based coatings comprises 3.500 square meters of net usable areas and consists of technological part with mixing plant, grain room, manufacture and filling room. The center for metal coatings, valued at €2.5 million is located in Preska at Medvode on 1.270 square meters of net usable areas. Two of Helios’s production locations for metal coatings are included in it, as well as the development, sales and technical service.

Helios Group is the leading manufacturer of coatings in South Eastern Europe with approximately 3,000 employees in more than thirty companies in fourteen countries and recorded sales of $429.230 million in 2013. Recently Ring International Holding took over the majority package of Helios shares. Ring became an indirect majority owner of Helios Domžale, d.d. with ownership of 77.93 percent of all its shares. The acquiring company is Remho Beteiligungs GmbH, RIH’s parent company for its entire coating division. RIH sees potential for synergies between it’s coating division and Helios, the two of them combined becoming one of Europe’s most dominant player in the coatings industry.
