Headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, Indigo Paints had an excellent year in 2024, enjoying 21.68% growth for the fiscal year. Indigo is primarily focused on the architectural segment. Indigo was founded in 2000 as a producer of economical cement paints and has transformed into a decorative paint specialist. The company has more than 18,000 dealers.
Indigo operates five manufacturing facilities located in Jodhpur (state of Rajasthan), Kochi (state of Kerala), and Pudukkottai (state of Tamil Nadu). Jodhpur and Pudukkottai facilities operate two production units each.
Indigo completed the acquisition of a majority stake of 51% in Apple Chemie India Pvt Ltd. Concentrated mainly in the state of Maharashtra, Apple Chemie is focused on construction chemicals and waterproofing.
“Recognizing the growth potential in adjacent segments, we are expanding our footprint beyond the decorative paint market,” said Hemant Jalan, Indigo Paints’ chairman and managing director, in announcing the annual results. “Our foray into construction chemicals and waterproofing solutions presents a significant opportunity to diversify our revenue streams.”
