l InterCorr International, a provider of corrosion testing, monitoring and consulting services and software, announced today that it has formed a licensing arrangement with OLI Systems, Inc., Morristown, NJ, a developer of software simulations for chemical systems.
Under the terms of this agreement, InterCorr will create a virtual corrosion laboratory (VCL) that provides sales and support for the OLI corrosion analyzer software. InterCorr will also offer corrosion consulting services that build on the powerful predictive capabilities of this software to assist corporate clients in predicting, assessing, monitoring and mitigating corrosion in their industrial processes.
Using VCL, InterCorr’s customers can simulate corrosion experiments on their computer instead of an actual laboratory allowing them to reduce corrosion laboratory time and expense; conduct virtual experiments without risking the lab and plant; rapidly identify corrosion causes and corrective actions; simulate and predict the effects of process and material changes; and optimize process conditions to minimize corrosion damage, according to the company.
