On September 13th, HALOX's Bodan Ma, PhD, is scheduled to present "Employing electrochemical impedance in predicting corrosion event" during the two-day high level technical conference that will run alongside the Asian Pacific Coatings Show.
Abstract: Although common corrosion tests are critical in determining coatings' performance, they can be time consuming and do not always tell the detailed failure mechanism of a corrosion event. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) offers an alternative method in investigating a coatings anti-corrosion property and has the potential to shorten formula development time for some coating systems. The presentation will discuss the basic principle and application of EIS in these systems.
