9 of Top 10 Chemical Companies on ICIS Top 100 Listing Do Business Through the Elemica Network

Published December 19, 2013

Elemica, a leading supply chain operating network provider for the process industries, announces that nine of the top ten companies listed on the ICIS Top 100 Chemical Companies annual ranking conduct commerce through Elemica's QuickLink Network. On the total list of 100 companies, 75 utilize Elemica's Supply Chain Operating Network for their procurement, order management, logistics, or customer management needs. Elemica helps these companies stay ahead of the competition by reducing their operating costs, making them easier to do business with, supporting their ability to differentiate through service, creating more rapid responses to market opportunities, and accelerating their time to value.

"Companies in the chemical, oil & gas, specialty chemical, plastic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets appear on this prestigious list, with fourteen of the top fifteen, or a whopping 94%, connected to the Elemica QuickLink Network," said John Blyzinskyj, CEO of Elemica. "These world-class businesses realize significant benefits from the powerful insight they receive as a result of their connectivity into our B2B platform. Plus, being able to conduct business over Elemica's supply chain operating network drives greater value faster, yielding dramatic working capital reduction and improved cash flow, which inevitably adds to the bottom line of those recorded on the ICIS Top 100 list."

ICIS Chemical Business magazine presents the annual ICIS Top 100 Chemical Companies, a global listing of sector leaders ranked by 2012 sales, and sponsored by global investment bank The Valence Group. US-based Dow Chemical with $56.8B in sales comes in at #4, followed by Saudi Arabia-based SABIC at #5 with $50.4bn in sales. The ICIS Top 100 Chemical Companies had combined sales of $1.39 trillion in 2012.
