Daimler AG has renewed its approval of two leading Axalta Coating Systems global refinish brands – Spies Hecker and Standox – as car paint brands that are authorized for use by Mercedes-Benz dealerships and bodyshops across Russia, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg. The contract renewal extends the term of the approval with Daimler AG until the end of 2016.
Jürgen Knorr, Axalta Coating Systems director key accounts EMEA Refinish Systems, says, “Premium car owners expect nothing less than perfection when it comes to repairs. Spies Hecker and Standox paint systems are formulated to deliver superior results, excellent color-matching accuracy and customized solutions. Those attributes were put to the test through extensive quality trials and long-term testing with Daimler before our contract was renewed.”
In addition to supplying paint, representatives of each of these two Axalta global refinish brands will provide bodyshops and dealerships with technical support and color management assistance, and offer consulting to help optimize efficiency.
Michael Gimpl, international key account manager paint, Mercedes-Benz Global Service and Parts, says, “We are very happy to award both Spies Hecker and Standox approval for Russia and four other markets. The brands’ paint systems will help our bodyshops and dealers achieve the look and finish that fit Mercedes-Benz.”
