AGC Chemicals Americas Inc. will launch its FluoroCompounds Group at the 2014 IWCS show November 9-12 in Providence, R.I. The new group focuses solely on the development, production and marketing of fluoropolymer compounds, which provide numerous performance advantages for wire and cable products, among many others.
Drawing from an extensive global supply chain of resins and fillers, the AGC FluoroCompounds Group can produce any filled PTFE or melt processable fluoropolymer compound customized to a client’s specific needs anywhere in the world. The group also offers a wide selection of off-the-shelf compounds based on AGC Fluon® resins that can be used for increased chemical, wear and creep resistance, toughness, lubricity, and thermal and electrical conductivity.
Wire insulation, cable sheathing, tubing and molded parts made from Fluon melt processable compounds offer superb surface finish and can be customized for color, conductivity level, lubricity and other spec parameters. Fluon filled PTFE compounds enhance vital characteristics for components such as bearings, seals and gaskets used in applications where they need to withstand ongoing heat, pressure and dynamic environments.
