CCAI will present its popular Powder Coating and Curing Processes Seminar at Alabama Power’s Technical Applications Center (TAC) in Calera, AL this October. After two sold-out events in Atlanta, GA, CCAI will offer the same education and training at another lab facility. The seminar is scheduled for October 6 & 7, 2015 and will be co-sponsored by the Infrared Division of the Industrial Heating Equipment Association and Products Finishing magazine.
The day and a half seminar features a thorough introduction to the powder coating process, including cleaning & pretreatment, powder coating materials, application equipment & booths, curing options, part movement, running an efficient system and testing methods. All of the classroom training will be provided by industry experts from some of the leading companies in the finishing business including: Wagner Industrial Solutions, Axalta, George Koch Sons LLC, Coral Chemical Co., Midwest Finishing Systems, KMI Systems, DeFelsko, Heraeus and Fostoria, a division of TPI Corp.
This seminar continues to host sellout crowds and outstanding reviews from attendees. Some of the comments that appeared repeatedly on speaker evaluations were: “Very knowledgeable and helpful,” “Great speakers,” “Captivating and concise,” “Impressive, simplified and interesting.” Attendees enjoy the interaction with the speakers during the seminar as well as the networking opportunity at the reception after the first day of instruction.
Along with the educational instruction, attendees will spend time in the fully-equipped lab at the TAC to experience live demonstrations and opportunities for hands-on training. This interactive format allows attendees to get applied knowledge of the technologies they are learning in the classroom. Attendees will have the chance to powder coat and cure a part onsite to take home with them.
Registration fee includes classroom training, the opportunity to experience hands-on demonstrations in a laboratory setting and copies of both CCAI’s new Powder Coating for Industrial Finishing Applications training manual and a copy of Infrared Process Heating Handbook for Industrial Applications, published by the IRED division of the Industrial Heating Equipment Association. Breakfast, lunch on day one and an evening reception are also included in the registration cost. Fees to attend are $150 for CCAI members and $225 for non-members.
