AGC Chemicals Americas’ technical service engineer Katie Sprick will present “Reinforced Fluoropolymer Compounds Optimized for Harsh Conditions” at the IWCS International Cable & Connectivity Symposium on October 6 and 7. She will introduce Fluon ETFE C88AXMP-HT, an ultra heat-resistant grade that maintains performance characteristics at temperatures up to 200 °C when used for wire and cable insulation. Sprick also will briefly discuss specialty fillers to enhance properties such as chemical and abrasion resistance, flexibility and improved physical properties at higher temperatures.
Sprick is a member of the AGC FluoroCompounds Group, which focuses on the development, production and marketing of fluoropolymer compounds. She and her colleagues will be available at Booth 313 throughout the Suppliers’ Exhibition to discuss performance advantages of Fluon ETFE C88AXMP-HT and other fluoropolymer compounds for wire and cable applications.
