Axalta Coating Systems will unveil the “We Paint Winners” Radiant Red Commemorative SATAjet 5000 B spray gun at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 3-6, 2015 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The spray gun will be unveiled in Axalta’s Engineered for Speed exhibit booth number 22391 at SEMA on Wednesday, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. The commemorative spray gun celebrates the inaugural year of Axalta’s “We Paint Winners” campaign.
The crew from NBCSN’s hit series Mobsteel including legendary painter Ron Coan, one of the leading painters in the automotive industry known for his gritty, Detroit-steel creations, and Rachel De Barros, host and executive producer of Gearhead Diva, will be on hand to help Matt Robertson, Axalta Refinish Marketing Director Axalta and Tony Larimer, Dan-Am Company Director of Sales and Marketing launch the new spray gun. Dan-Am is the U.S. distributor of SATA products.
“Application technology is a critical component of Axalta’s coating systems. We’re grateful to for the hard work that SATA put into developing the gun to help commemorate our campaign,” said Robertson. “We are inspired by artists like Ron Coan who have been using our products for years to bring vintage automobiles back to life and who was with us last year when Axalta unveiled our 2015 Color of the Year, Radiant Red.
“Those among the first to order the spray guns will have the opportunity to purchase models autographed by four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Jeff Gordon or by Ron Coan,” added Robertson. “We are excited to be able to offer this spray gun through our distributors starting on Friday, November 27, 2015.”
“It has been exciting to work with Axalta. Our relationship has offered us the chance to put their incredible “We Paint Winners” artwork on both of the SATAjet 5000 B series,” said Larimer. “It will be available in the most common and practical nozzle sizes to work with Axalta's variety of refinish coatings. The RP versions will be available in 1.2 and 1.3, and the HVLP will be available in the popular 1.3 nozzle size.”
