Dedicated to the promotion of powder coating technology, The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) introduced the third video in the Powder Coating, A Better Kind of Paint consumer video series.
“By becoming certified, a custom coater can demonstrate to their customers they have met a highly professional, third-party standard for their powder coating operation," said Trena Benson, PCI's executive director. "We hope the PCI Certification Program instills a sense of continual improvement throughout the powder coating industry, which is beneficial to both consumers and the entire industry.”
Powder Coating: A Stronger Kind of Paint rounds out the “Stronger, Greener, Better” portion of the series, and focuses on the durability and weatherability of powder coating when compared to liquid paint.
The video series has a dual purpose: To provide powder coaters with free, professional marketing tools to promote the benefits of powder coating; and to educate consumers about the benefits of purchasing powder coated products.
PCI also introduced a PCI Certification Program promotional video, which features three PCI certified companies sharing the benefits of certification and their experience with the process.

PCI Certification is an extensive audit program that evaluates a company's powder coating processes and procedures, equipment, maintenance practices and quality control capabilities to ensure they have the capability of producing a high-quality powder coated product.
The program offers two certification types; PCI 3000 Certification applies to custom coaters and PCI 4000 Certification applies to OEMs.
