The ChemQuest Group has appointed Jean Luc Guillaume as director. In this role, Guillaume will support business development, key client projects and market intelligence. Based in France, he brings expertise in strategic segments that are part of ChemQuest’s core knowledge base and growth trajectory, such as specialty polymers, composites and coatings.
Guillaume has nearly four decades of experience in the specialty chemicals and materials industry, in roles related to management, R&D and marketing. Most recently, he served as the associate director of global wind and composites at Olin in Zug, Switzerland.
He also served in a variety of roles with Dow Chemical in Switzerland and Germany over the span of 30 years, in divisions focused on wind energy, rail and infrastructure, sustainable chemistry, epoxy resins, inks and coatings.
“Jean Luc has profound expertise in the emerging field of composites across many industries,” said Daniel Murad, ChemQuest CEO. “He understands the trends and technologies relevant to markets such as construction, transportation, energy, infrastructure and consumer goods. Stakeholders across these verticals come to us seeking industry-focused thought leadership and strategy to build resilience, agility and profitability. They also want our technical expertise to meet demand based on drivers such as high performance needs, sustainability, lightweighting and material cost and availability. Jean Luc’s extensive experience for related chemistries and developments will enable us to better support these clients.”
“I have had the pleasure to work with ChemQuest in the past and appreciated the firm’s guidance and depth of knowledge to define a strategy for an important growth initiative — as well as provide collaborative innovation and R&D. I’m ready to help contribute to future ChemQuest successes with my knowledge of the epoxies, composites and coatings worlds,” Guillaume said.
