Do you or a co-worker have a child entering college or trade school? The Metropolitan New York Coatings Association is now accepting applications for consideration in the selection of a winner of the 2023 scholarship named in memory of Michael A. Granito.
Eligibility requirements are:
• High school senior
• Parent or guardian employed by an MNYCA member company in the geographic area that the
MNYCA serves (NY, NJ, and CT metropolitan area)
Scholarship: Each year, a minimum of one, one-time scholarship(s) of a minimum of $1,000 per individual may be awarded to eligible students.
Deadline for application: April 1, 2023
Requirements to apply:
• Academic record through the first semester of the senior year (Unofficial will suffice)
• Copy of SAT (or ACT) scores. (Unofficial will suffice. Not needed for trade school matriculation)
• Letter of recommendation from teacher, prinapal or guidance counselor
• Write and submit an essay on either :Where do you see yourself in ten years” or "Tell about a
time you failed and your learnings" (200 words or less)
5. Parent/guardian application completed
6. Student application form completed.
