ChemSpec North America, a member of the Safic-Alcan family of companies, consisting of offices in Ohio, Ontario and Mexico City, announced its recent Pan-North America ISO 9001:2015 certification. It is now ISO certified across all of North America, as the U.S. entity was recently recertified and two other Safic-Alcan subsidiaries, ChemSpec México and ChemSpec Canada, both achieved their first ISO certifications.
“Obtaining ISO certifications reflects our goal of maintaining rigorous quality standards across North America,” said Chris Wagner, ChemSpec chief operations officer. “These certifications simply reflect the great sales and operations teams we have in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. It also reflects that we are truly a Pan-North American specialty chemical and polymer distributor with quality operations throughout all three countries.”
While the U.S. entity, ChemSpec, Ltd., has been ISO certified for more than 15 years, it was the first time both the Mexican and Canadian teams were audited pursuant to the ISO criteria.
“Certifying our Canada and Mexico sales offices is part of ChemSpec’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. Our quality team has made great progress over the last year to implement changes that ensure all ChemSpec locations are held to the same standards. This audit resulting in the multi-site certification indicates we are on the right path,” said Sara Kaschak, quality and regulatory manager.
