For the eighth time, Śnieżka was among the largest private companies in the country in the Forbes magazine ranking. In the ranking prepared by the editorial team, the company took 89th place, recording a y/y increase in value.
The company's place in the ranking of the 100 Largest Polish Private Companies is determined on the basis of the company's value. It is calculated in relation to the market EV (Enterprise Value) indicator.
This year, the value of Śnieżka based on this indicator was estimated at PLN 1,240 million. This means an increase of 15% compared to the EV value determined last year, which amounted to PLN 1,077 million.
The total value of enterprises in the ranking also increased year-on-year - the editors estimated it at PLN 418 billion. This is the seventh time that this amount has increased y/y. Additionally, the ranking included only private companies whose EV was over PLN 1,150 million
($300 million), while in last year's ranking the threshold for entering the ranking was below PLN 1 billion.
The Ranking of the Largest Polish Private Companies by Forbes magazine has been prepared since 2016. It presents companies with the highest value, in which majority shares belong to a Polish entrepreneur (or a group of entrepreneurs), and those in which a Polish entrepreneur is the creator of the company and actively manages or controls it from the level of the supervisory board. The list includes both companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and those not listed on the stock exchange.
Entities in which foreign investors control more than 50% of shares are not included in the analysis. In Śnieżka, the company's founders and their successors hold a total of over 60% of the share capital.
