Key Responsibilities
The Global Marine Pricing Manager is responsible of all aspects of PPG PMC’s Global Marine Pricing strategy and execution. Dimensions include all aspects of product costing, pricing, transfer premiums and list price management for all areas of the world. The incumbent ensures that our global marine business executes pricing strategies and tables to ensure the goals are achieved including but not limited to: sales, PTPI, working capital, product rationalization, product introduction, regional and global profit, distributor management, and agent management.
The incumbent sets and understands product costing and establishing pricing strategies to align both global and regional profits. Given the complexity of marine with most sales, product deliveries, and invoicing occurring in different regions, multiple regions costing, transfer premiums, tax implications and global and local profits must be all managed effectively
Experience and Education
College degree, preferably with demonstrated skills related to financial management or other related degree. MBA would be a plus, but not required.
10+ years of business analysis experience;
Functional and Technical Skills
Strong understanding of Profit and Loss statements along with understanding of standard costing procedures. Excellent analytical skills required.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skills. Strong understanding and appropriate approach to operate in a global / cross culture business environment. Strong understanding of SAP or similar global enterprise business systems a plus. Strong familiarity/affinity with data extraction and analysis tools. Strong business / sales acumen.
· Strong understanding of P&L statements
· Strong understanding of IT concepts, business systems, and data extraction/analysis.
· Experience with customers is preferred but not required; demonstrated ability is required
· Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to speak clearly and concisely, especially in a multi-cultural environment. Highly analytical/excellent problem solving skills
· Excellent project management skills
· Superior desktop computing skills
· Strong ability to drive an organization
· Business Acumen
