Akzo Nobel NV has patented a non-aqueous alkyd coating composition. The coating contains an oxidatively drying alkyd resin, photoinitiator, (latent) acid, and vinyl ether, acetal and/or alkoxysilane covalently bonded to alkyd resin. Sulphonic acid derivative or phosphoric acid dibutyl ester may be used.
