has patented a waterborne one-pack
composition, useful for coatings on wood,
metal and concrete. It is prepared by
emulsion addition polymerization,
preferably as a multi-stage process and is
comprised of a polymeric component with
a styrene-based latex seed core of specified
particle size, a polymerizable
monomeric ingredient with acid functional
pendant groups and pendant groups
which can form enamine structures by
reaction with amines as specified.
Preparation is claimed in this patent.
