Cabot Corp. has been awarded a
U.S. patent covering a modified pigment
with improved dispersing properties.
The pigment product is comprised
of a pigment having attached
at least one aromatic or alkyl group X,
wherein X is substituted with at least
one group comprising the formula:
—[A]pR,
wherein A represents an awylene
oxide group of from approximately
one to 12 carbons, p is an integer from
one to 500 and R represents hydrogen,
a substituted or substituted alkyl
group or a substituted or unsubstituted
aromatic group. A can be the same
or different when p is greater than
one.
