Diyers Keep Out

Published August 9, 2005
● Looking to tap into the $276 billion professional contractor market, DIY retail giant Home Depot has opened
a Home Depot Supply concept store in Mesquite, TX.
“Most people think of Home Depot as a store for the do-ityourselfer,
but 30% of our revenues come from professional
contractors,” said Angel Espinoza, manager of The Home
Depot Supply shop, which opened for business on Feb. 28. Home Depot Supply is geared specifically toHAPs from paint manufacturing facilities. In development since 1995, the “Miscellaneous Organic
Chemical Manufacturing and Miscellaneous Coating Manufacturing: Air Toxics Rule” would require control
of mixing vessels, both portable and fixed as well as polymer reaction vessels. The date for formal
proposal in the Federal Register was not known at press time, but the rule is available on the web at
www.epa.gov/ttn/oarpg/t3pfpr.html. (Look for further details in an upcoming issue.)—Jim Berry
