Storage-stable polyisocyanates useful for two-pack coating compositions have been patented by BASF  AG. They cure quickly to films with good properties. They are comprised of polyisocyanates with isocyanurate and/or biuret groups, derived from aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diisocyanates, and other polyisocyanates with allophanate and/or urethane groups derived from aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diisocyanates and from polyhydric aliphatic or cycloaliphatic alcohols.
