Troy Technology Corp. has been granted a patent for a broad-spectrum antimicrobial composition useful for protection of paint, adhesives and wood. It is comprised of an iodopropynyl compound with 2-(methoxycarbonylamino) benzimidazole and an optional algicide as specified, giving a synergistic mixture. Paint containing this composition is claimed, as is the use of the composition for protection of wood.
