Air Products Polymers has received a patent for a polymerizable monomer formed by the reaction of an unsaturated moiety with a wet adhesion promoting moiety, the improvement which comprises a polymerizable monomer formed by the reaction of a carbonate selected from the group consisting of vinyl ethylene carbonate, methacryloxypropylene carbonate and allyloxypropylene carbonate and a wet adhesion promoting moiety selected from the group consisting of an alkyl urea and a cyclic urea.
