China IS Location for DSM Desotech’s Fourth Plant
DSM Desotech Inc., a maker of UV coatings and other materials based in Elgin, IL, is expanding its operations by building a new manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China.
The facility, DSM Desotech Specialty Chemicals (Shanghai) Ltd., is scheduled to begin operations in late 2004. When operations commence, DSM Desotech Specialty Chemicals (Shanghai) Ltd. will mark Desotech’s fourth manufacturing facility, joining existing plants in Hoek van Holland, The Netherlands; Stanley, NC and Tsukuba, Japan.
DSM Desotech manufactures high-performance UV-curable materials for production of optical fiber and optical fiber cable.
In addition to its Elgin facility, Desotech operates manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Europe and Japan and maintains a global network of sales agents in more than 20 countries.
