Southern Grouts and Mortars, Inc. has received a patent for a phosphorescent pigment modified cementitious material comprising Portland cement. Mixed in the cement is a rare earth doped calcium aluminate phosphorescent pigment that produces a long lasting phosphorescence for up to 8 hours in the visible portion of the spectrum after exposure to a radiation source.
