Tego Coating and Ink Additives has introduced Tego Foamex 855, an emulsion of a polyether siloxane copolymer that contains fumed silica for use in waterborne architectural coating and printing ink applications in the 30%-60% PVC range. In addition to effectively eliminating foam without causing surface defects in medium to high PVC systems, it will not detract from gloss, according to the company. Foamex 855 is compatible with a variety of waterborne resin systems including acrylic, polyurethane and styrene acrylic emulsions, water-reducible polyesters and waterborne epoxy resins. It is supplied as a solvent-free emulsion in water, 20% active. More info: Tego, (800) 446-1809; Fax: (804) 541-6290; Web: www.additiweb.com.
