Kansai Paint Co has received a U.S. patent for an electrodeposition coating composition that is comprised of a cationic or anionic resin, a cross-linking agent and an ester compound selected from the group consisting of a diester compound of polyoxyalkylenealkyl ether monoalcohol and aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a polyester compound obtained by reaction of aliphatic glycol having two or three carbon atoms, aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and aliphatic monoalcohol.
