Huntsman International LLC has received a patent for radiation curable powder coating compositions giving relatively thick films with high crosslink density. The coatings, which are especially useful on heat-sensitive substrates, contain urethane acrylate obtained by reacting polyisocyanates, especially MID, with OH-functional (meth)acrylates and isocyanate-reactive compounds, eg. polyether polyol and photoinitiator.
