Kansai Paint Co., Ltd. has received a patent for a paint composition which is comprised of an hydroxyl-containing compound having a weight-average molecular weight not more than 1,000 and a hydroxyl value of 200-800 mgKOH/g, a polyisocyanate compound, an imino-containing melamine resin and an organotin compound as a curing catalyst. The hydroxyl-containing compound is a ring-opening esterification reaction product between a carboxyl-containing compound and epoxy-containing compound.
