Tego Coating Additives and Specialty Resins has introduced Tegomer D 3403, a nonionic reactive dispersant for the production of polyurethane dispersions. By the complete or partial replacement of conventional anionic dispersants, Tegomer D 3403 imparts permanent hydrophilicity to the base polymer and enables formulators to combine polyurethane dispersions with acrylic dispersions without any negative impact on dispersion stability, according to the company. It offers long-term stability in dispersions, even at low pH values and improves electrolytic stability. Tegomer D 3403 is based on polyether diols and is a pale-yellow solid at room temperature, soluble in water and most organic solvents.
