Ashland Licensing and Intellectual Property LLC has been granted a patent for an article comprised of a plastic substrate and a UV-curable Michael resin composition, wherein the UV-curable Michael resin composition is comprised of a resinous Michael addition product of a β-dicarbonyl compound and a Lewis-functional multifunctional acrylate ester wherein the resin has a surface tension in the range of approximately 30 -70 dynes/cm and wherein the plastic substrate is coated with the UV-curable Michael resin composition.
