MicroMediaUltrafine Grinding to the Lower Nano-Range

Attributes/comments:

Buhler has launched the all new, pilot size, high-tech agitated bead mill, MicroMedia P1 last year and now follows up with the introduction of the larger production size MicroMedia mill P2 and P3. The specific technology of introducing grinding energy and the internal product flow are especially designed for a safe and reliable use of extremely fine beads from 300 m down to 20 m. Depending on the requirements of different material systems, the operating conditions can be varied from "soft milling" up to "high energy grinding," and combined with unusually high flow rates. Highest levels of quality standards can be achieved, corresponding with narrow particles size distributions in the lower nanometer range. An outstanding feature of the innovative mill concept is that the obtained results can be linearly scaled up to the production size mills of the MicroMedia series. Contact Buhler for more information and test the new mills with your products here in the U.S..

Premier Mill PSM Submersible Media Mill Basket Type

Attributes/comments:

The PSM Submersible Mill is a batch type mill, in the general "basket mill" categorybut with unique hybrid design which sets it apart from other single shaft "basket" type mills. The PSM mills incorporates a milling chamber with independently powered variable speed mixing shafts, which provides exceptional flexibility in production. Due to independent variable speed mixing shafts, the PSM can process a wide range of batch sizes and product viscosity. The PSM submersible mill is suitable for efficient production of small batches where rapid color changeover is required. The PSM is easy to clean, eliminating pumps, product plumbing and hoses, and contains no mechanical seals. Little routine maintenance is required with the PSM, which contains few moving parts. The hybrid design combines mixing and milling into one device, which makes the PSM a better fit in many applications than a traditional horizontal media mill. Lab size units available.

Union Process

www.unionprocess.com

Product name:

DMQ-10

Attributes/comments:

The DMQ-10 combines the best features of a traditional horizontal small media mill with the added benefits of circulation grinding. The result is a versatile mill capable of providing a cost-effective, size reduction solution for grinding large quantities of material. Although the DMQ Series is able to operate in either circulation or continuous mode, using the mill for circulation grinding offers some unique benefits including a narrower particle size distribution, the ability to continuously monitor the slurry, and the ability to sample or add ingredients to the premix tank at any time. Also, temperature can be controlled more precisely since the slurry spends only a short period of time in the grinding chamber. The circulation grinding process involves the use of a large process/holding tank in addition to the DMQ Mill. The mill features a large, heavy-duty media separator located at the end of the mill for easy servicing. Indexed discs provide uniform media distribution.
