Valspar Sourcing, Inc. has been granted a patent for a coating composition comprised of a silane-functional, acetoacetoxy-functional multistage latex polymer, wherein the multistage latex polymer is comprised of at least one silane-functional soft stage having a Tg between approximately −65° C and 30° C and at least one hard stage having a Tg between 30° C and 230° C.
